The Bow Tie is Back!

The Bow Tie is Back in Fashion!

Some classic looks never go out of style; but as with many classics, they have some years that are better than others! This year, the bow tie is back!

The resurgence of the bow tie was reflected on the red carpet and in fashion magazines last year, and that trend has carried over into 2012. The shift shows a renewed interest in classic elegance over trendy casualness, but the Wall Street Journal also recently cited the "tuxedo with bow tie" look as surpassing the straight black tie look of the past several years. It's worth it to go the extra mile and wear a self-tie bow tie, but don't fret if you can't tie it... A clip on bow tie will suffice!

At the last Oscars, the red carpet was flooded with stars wearing (you guessed it!) the bow tie! Everyone from Eddie Murphy and Ryan Gosling to Clint Eastwood was sporting one. Even those who typically are more contemporary, like Mark Wahlberg and Will Smith, went with the sophisticated look, wearing a classic black bow tie. John Travolta strutted his stuff in a classic tuxedo with a bow tie along the red carpet.

Of course, as the new James Bond (Daniel Craig) stepped out onto the red carpet at the Oscars, he was ready for action and in true character. He was wearing the signature Bond uniform-- a classic tuxedo with a bow tie.

Whether you are attending a black tie gala, prom, quinceanera, or a wedding, the bow tie is an excellent choice. It's suave and debonair, and it will never go out of style. The bow tie is BACK!
