Have you ever been invited to a Black Tie or White Tie event?
You may need to know what to wear!
If your invitation reads...
Black Tie Invited - It is generally accepted that "Black Tie" requires formal attire, not specifically to wear a black tie. Wear a tuxedo which is comfortable and appropriate to the time of year. The traditional look is a black tuxedo worn with a white shirt, black or dark colored vest, and bow tie or long tie. Contemporary vests or cummerbunds are also appropriate.
White Tie Invited - This is the most formal attire. Wear a black full dress tailcoat, matching formal trousers, white wing collar shirt, white vest and bow tie.
